Covid-19 Updates

Cumberland Lake Wilderness Society continues to keep the health and well being of our visitors and staff our top priority.

Guests are expected to follow these additional rules:

  • Please don't visit if you have symptoms of COVID-19, have been directed to self-isolate by Public Health or are required to self-isolate due to travel.
  • Campground is open to Vancouver Island residents only, until essential travel restrictions are lifted. Once these restrictions are lifted, the campground is open to BC residents only for the summer of 2021. Reservations for BC residents can be made for an arrival date of July 5th or later.
  • PHO guidelines for gatherings may change between the time of booking and a scheduled arrival date. All camping parties MUST meet current PHO guidelines for gatherings, even if those numbers are less than Cumberland Lake Park Campground maximum site allowance:

    • Maximum single campsite occupancy is 6 (max 4 adults)

    • Maximum double campsites occupancy is 12 (max 8 adults), including guests

    • Maximum group campsite occupancy is 16 occupants, including guests

  • Bathrooms and showers are open to a maximum three people at a time. As these are indoors, masks are required.

  • Visitors should bring their own hand sanitizer and are asked to practice appropriate hygiene.

Additional changes and policies may be implemented at anytime based on recommendations and orders from provincial health officials.
